Equipment, Arms and Armor

Orc Coinage is a combination of coins taken from other races across Golarion. As Orcs do not feel like minting their own coinage, they generally accept gold and silver from any nation as well as the trade of gems, ivory, and anything else an individual Orc might find valuable. As their method of trade revolves around only paying for what they cannot physically take from someone else, barter and paying in coin comes as a secondary thought to actually taking items by force.

For those who must pay in coin (thus too weak to get an item any other way) the choices in arms and equipment is rather simple and without any sophistication. Orcs use torches not lanterns (far too complicated and time consuming to make)and their armor and weapons are useful, heavy, and hit hard rather than being elegant or gem-encrusted like the pansy Elves or Humans waste their time on. Although they do appreciate a well made weapon, they would much rather simply take it from its current owner than go though the lengthy and difficult process of learning the skill, applying it, and crafting an item only to have that item taken away from them forceably by another Orc who spent all that time learning how better to bash others over the head and taking what they want.

Thus while considering your purchases please remember that when going through the list of items available in the Player’s Rulesbook, think to yourself…would an Orc use this let alone make this? Of course, certain items like Masterwork Thieves tools to an Orc would be considered a really good and solid rock the perfect size to bash open a pesky lock.
